Das World Electronic Media Forum (WEMF) war eine Veranstaltung anlässlich des World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). Dieses fand zwischen 10.-12.12.2003 in Genf (SUI), in Zusammenarbeit mit dem United Nations Department of Public Information (UNDPI), der European Broadcasting Union (EBU) und der Schweiz, als Gastgeberland des Gipfels, statt.
Fünf interessante Sessionen über zwei Tage erkundeten die gegenwärtigen und zukünftigen Möglichkeiten von Medien in der Informationsgesellschaft. Insbesondere in Bezug auf die Schlüsselrolle der Medien und des Fernsehens, den universellen Zugang zu Informationen, die Meinungsfreiheit, die kulturelle Vielfalt, die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung, sozialer Zusammenhalt und Bildung.
Ralph Ammann koordinierte und kontrollierte die Zusammenarbeit zwischen der beteiligten TV-Produktionsfirma und dem Exekutivsekretariat des WEMF bezüglich der Durchführung der fünf Sessionen.
